Status · prices checked Sep 19, 2026
No Black Friday or Cyber Monday 2026 deals have gone live yet on the products we cover.
This page is where they will be posted when they do — in November, as they happen, with the live price shown rather than a number we typed in. Until then everything below is preparation: what this category has and has not discounted before, and what that means for buying now versus waiting. For scale: of the 166 products we currently hold a live price for across the site, 54 showed a strike-through list price at Amazon on the last check — an everyday coupon or markdown, not a holiday event.
Most Black Friday pages are written in the week of the sale, by people racing to list whatever is discounted. This one is written in September, on purpose, so it can do the thing those pages cannot: tell you honestly what this category has and has not discounted in previous Novembers — with sources — and which products are worth waiting for versus buying today. Nothing below is a deal. When real Black Friday and Cyber Monday 2026 deals go live on the products we rank, we will post them here with the live price, and the status block above will change. Until then, this is the preparation.
Two rules govern this page. Every price on it comes from the same live Amazon data layer as every other page on the site, stamped with the date it was checked — we do not type in a "was" price, and the strike-through figures are Amazon's own. And every statement about past discounts is sourced in the Sources block at the bottom; where we could not find a reliable record, the page says "data unavailable" rather than guessing. We do not predict prices, and we would ask you to distrust anyone who does.
The dates that matter
Thanksgiving 2026 falls on Thursday, November 26, which puts Black Friday on November 27 and Cyber Monday on November 30. In practice the sale period has been much longer: Hyperice's 2025 holiday pricing ran from November 10 through December 31, and Amazon opened early deals well before the day itself. Amazon also runs an October sale — Prime Big Deal Days was October 7-8 in 2025 — which has historically previewed Black Friday pricing on some fitness gear; as of mid-September 2026, Amazon has not confirmed whether or when it will run one this year.
What has historically discounted in this category
Therabody (Theragun). The clearest pattern in the category. Therabody ran a Black Friday sale in every year we checked — up to 33% off Theragun devices in 2021, up to 40% in 2022 — and also runs mid-year sales of similar depth: in June-July 2026 the Relief was $119.99 against $159.99, the Prime $199.99 against $329.99, and the Mini $159.99 against $219.99. The honest reading is that Therabody discounts often, not only in November; a Theragun bought at any sale price is close to the Black Friday price.
Hyperice (Hypervolt, Normatec). Hyperice announced a Black Friday and holiday sale in 2024 and again in 2025, the latter running November 10 to December 31 and described by the company as its lowest prices of the year across its range; coverage of the 2025 sale listed the Hypervolt 2 Pro at $80 off. We could not retrieve model-by-model Normatec pricing from the press releases, so we do not quote one.
Garmin.Discounts broadly every November. dealnews' year-by-year table lists headline Garmin discounts of up to 30% in 2020 rising to up to 50% in 2024, with previous-generation models cut deepest; over Black Friday 2025 the Forerunner 165 sold at $199.99 against $249.99 and the vívoactive 5 at $189.99 against $249.99. Our Garmin ranking lists the current range.
Fitbit and Apple Watch. Both discounted at retailers over Black Friday 2025: the Fitbit Charge 6 hit $99 against $159, described as a record low, and Amazon took $50 off the Apple Watch SE 3 ($199.99 for the 40mm GPS model) and $60 off the Series 11. Apple itself does not discount; the retailers do.
Oura. The previous-generation Ring 4 was, in NBC's words, "rarely on sale" — its first-ever discount was 15% at Prime Day 2025 — and then went about 30% off, as low as $249, for Black Friday 2025. After the Ring 5 launched in 2026, the Ring 4 was cleared at a discount. The Ring 5 has no discount history of its own yet, and the membership was not part of any of those promotions.
Bowflex and big cardio. The SelectTech 552 dumbbells were $399 in Bowflex's own Black Friday 2025 sale against a $479 regular price. The NordicTrack T Series 6.5S treadmill was listed at $543.15 with a 15%-off code against $700 on December 1, 2025. Big-box cardio equipment is the class most reliably marked down in November, in our reading of the sources — and the class where the "regular" price is least stable, so compare with the live price, not the sticker.
What rarely or never discounts
Concept2.The RowErg is the textbook case: Concept2 does not run sitewide sales, has never issued a manufacturer discount code, and Coach describes the machine as "almost never discounted". Third-party retailers occasionally move stock. Waiting for November has historically bought nothing here — buy it when you are ready.
New-generation hardware. A product launched this year — the Oura Ring 5, the current Garmin flagships — has no discount history, and the documented pattern across Garmin and Oura is that the previousgeneration gets the deep cut. If you want the newest thing, history says the November discount is small or absent; if you want the deal, history says it is on last year's model.
The cheap, Amazon-native brands. For most of the value picks we rank — Bob and Brad, FIT KING, TriggerPoint, LifePro and the like — we found no reliable public record of past Black Friday pricing, and we will not invent one. The only discount signal we show for those listings is Amazon's own strike-through on the card, which reflects an everyday coupon or markdown rather than a holiday event.
Buy now or wait for November, by product class
- Massage guns. Wait only if you specifically want a Theragun or a Hypervolt; both brands have a documented sale pattern. If the Bob and Brad C2 or another value pick is the right gun, there is no sourced history to wait on — buy it when it is needed. Our Theragun alternatives page is the honest comparison.
- Recovery wearables and running watches. Wait if the recipient does not need it before late November and a previous-generation Garmin, Fitbit or Apple Watch is the target — that is where the documented discounts have been. Do not wait on a new-generation device, and never wait on an Oura membership.
- Adjustable dumbbells.Compare the live Bowflex price on this page with last year's documented $399 sale price. If it already matches, waiting buys nothing; if it is higher, November has historically brought it back down.
- Compression boots. Wait if a Normatec or Therabody system is the target — both brands have run holiday sales. For the FIT KING and other value systems, no history; buy on need.
- Rowers. Do not wait for a Concept2. For the magnetic and water rowers in our rowing ranking, we have no sourced history either way.
- Treadmills and bikes. The class most reliably discounted in November per the sources, and the class with the least stable "regular" price — a reason to compare with the live price rather than the sticker on the day.
- Foam rollers, bands, kettlebells, massage balls. Buy whenever. There is little price to discount and nothing documented to wait for; a roller bought today is used for years.
- Cold plunge and sauna. Data unavailable. The category is young and we found no reliable November pattern to report, so we report none.
Live price watch
Our current top picks, and what they cost today
Prices are live from the Amazon Product API as of Sep 19, 2026. "List" and the percentage are Amazon's own strike-through figures for that listing, when it publishes them; we do not invent a "was" price. The last line on each card is what that product class has done in previous Novembers — sources at the bottom of the page — not a forecast.

How this page will change in November
When a real deal goes live on a product we rank, it appears here with the live price from the data layer and the date it was checked, and the status block at the top of the page changes to say so. We do not post deals we have not verified, we do not copy retailer "up to X% off" banners, and we do not post a deal on a product we would not recommend at full price. If you are shopping for someone else, the gift guides are the companion to this page: same products, explained for the buyer rather than the user.
How to read a Black Friday fitness deal
Compare with the live price, not the sticker. The "regular" price on big-box fitness equipment moves constantly, and a "$200 off" banner against an inflated list is not $200 off anything. Every product on this page shows the price Amazon returned at our last check and Amazon's own strike-through, if any. That is the comparison to make.
Check the generation. The deep November discounts in the sources are on previous-generation models. That is often the right buy — a Forerunner 165 at last year's sale price is the same watch — but confirm which model the deal is on.
Remember the membership.A discounted Oura ring still needs a paid membership for the insights, and Whoop's hardware is free because the subscription is the product. Our recovery wearables ranking does the two-year math that the sale price does not.
Do not buy the gadget because it is cheap. The best use of a Black Friday discount is on the product you were already going to buy. If you were not going to buy a $900 compression system, a $700 one is still $700.
